What is Somatics?

Somatics is an experiential learning process.  Through gentle movement, we discover what’s possible as we move within the body’s own natural design.

We explore a variety of movement options while rediscovering the body’s natural and fluid way of moving.  We learn to trust the transformational power of subtle, yet precise movement.

Habitual patterns of strain and tension that are pain-producing and occur as a result of over-use are replaced by more coordinated, easeful and integrated ways of moving.

We begin to enjoy the natural movement that comes from a harmonious coordination of the whole body when it’s free of pain and limitation.
