The moment we bring our awareness to any movement new connections are made within the brains organization of the sequencing of thousands of muscle fibers and brain cells. Our capacity for change is only as limited as our willingness to learn. We can return to what we once inherently knew… how to move freely and without pain.

Muscles cannot move without a signal from the brain to contract. In order to effect change in the body we must recalibrate the brain’s control over the muscular system.

Somatics restores the natural balance to the muscular system by re-patterning the habitual, unconscious movements that may be recreating pain and imbalance in your neuromuscular system.

Through our adaptive stress responses, accumulated over time, injuries that have occurred and trauma held in the body, we develop compensatory patterns of movement which lead to muscle imbalances creating pain and dysfunction in our neuromuscular system.  Somatic repatterning is an effective and safe way to work directly with our biology using neuroplasticity to re-educate the nervous system by experiencing healthier movement patterns. Using Somatic Awareness we interrupt holding patterns and discover healthier replacements for adaptive patterns.
