It’s common in our fast paced modern life to have shallow, upper chest breathing in response to the challenges of living in an unstable world. This habit of shallow, rapid breathing often overrides the slower, calmer ebb and flow of natural breathing and over time has damaging consequences to our health. In this class we will explore how opening and freeing the torso improves our breathing capacity and restores a natural and deeper rhythm of breath that has an immediate calming influence on the nervous system.
