Closing the Past, Opening Into Possibility 1/5/21 – Video
This class will be an experiential Somatic movement exploration with the theme of releasing the places in the body that are holding on to the past in the form of tension, clenching, or chronic contraction. We will experience how the body’s instinctual reaction to hurt is to withdraw and contract inward into our center or to keep our back muscle tense and taut. Through awareness and gentle guided movements we will begin to soften and open the front of the body and release the holding in the back creating the safety to open into new possibility. This is a great class for lower back, sacral and hip pain.
