Releasing Neck and Shoulders Part One – 2/23/21 – Video
This class will focus on releasing the habit of tension that is often experienced in the neck and shoulders as an unconscious response to stress. When our nervous system senses overwhelm or too much sensory input from all the stimulation that is coming in it often responds by reflexively tensing and causing chronic muscle contraction. Having a head that’s balanced on top of the spine necessitates having a shoulder girdle that supports the 12 pound head so that the weight can be evenly distributed. In this class we will focus on balancing the shoulder girdle and discovering the heads optimal alignment over the spine.
