Located deep within the central axis of our body, and growing out from our spine, the psoas (pronounced “so-as”) is a source of power, integrity, safety, and support. In this Somatics class we will explore how the optimal balance of a long AND strong psoas provides us with a sense of well-being and grounded support. Through gentle, yet precise movements we will re-discover the natural length of the psoas and its effect on the spinal length and stability. This is an important class for anyone with low back, hip, and knee pain as well as anxiety, depression and lack of energy.
