This Somatics Online Class will be all about the Core also known as the “Inner Corset”. The deep Core muscles help to stabilize the sacroiliac joints and the lumbar spine so that movement is supported intrinsically.
Research in Australia and Canada has shown that 90% of people with low back pain have lost some control over the inner corset muscles.
No amount of superficial abdominal exercises can substitute for inner corset control. The deep core not only gives stability for the lower back but also foundational support for the neck and shoulders.
